A short Intro to Semantic Web

The idea of Semantic Web is given by Tim-Berner-Lee the director of  world wide web consortium(W3C) and the inventor of "world wide web" . He defines the Semantic Web as "a web of data that can be processed directly and indirectly by machines".
Now first we should get the meaning of Semantics.Suppose I write a sentence.
"I hate that guy".
Now semantic is the meaning of the sentence. Now let suppose I again write the same sentence in a differenct way.
"I don't like that guy".
You can see the sentences are changed but the semantics is the same.
Right now generally talking when we type a url in the browser address bar it sends an HTTP request to the web server and recieves the document which requested through the url and then HTML displays the document.
Now what the semantic web will do it will understand the information in the document which we request. This
will help the computer to know what type of information we're interested in.
Semantic web help understand a meaning behind a web page. The data of semantic web will be kept in RDF files . Intelligent web applications could collect information from many different sources, combine information, and present it to users in a meaningful way.

Possibilities:
Once our computer understand what a person place or event is it starts helping us with those things so
suppose if we went to a blog of cars so I highlighted some cars. The semantic web will help me bring information of those cars through the whole "world wide web".So first it will understand what I am looking for and then by itself starts helping me.

Search engines will work more accurately because not only they will search with the keywords but they will keep track of the semantics of the page also which will help bring the information that we need.
